Sunday School Update
Preschoolers (3 year olds- kindergarteners)-- What's going on in the Preschool for February? The first part of the month, the preschoolers will be finishing the story of Jesus feeding the crowd. The second half, we will be learning about lent and how people celebrate Jesus' life around the world.
Anne Lute, Preschool Teacher
Lighthouse (1st-5th graders)-- In February we will be studying "The Great Commandment". Please be certain your child brings his or her Bible to class.
Youth (Middle and High School Students)-- We are excited and Thankful that Heidi Leach, Jenn Ransom, Barb Holdcraft and Vern Towle have agreed to form the new Youth Ministry Team to plan youth programming and activities.
All youth are encouraged to attend the next event and bring their friends!
Anticipating the beginning of Lent in February, the group will be exploring the concept of "giving up stuff" for Lent. In March, the topic will be justice; in April, it will be friends; and May, it will be "What do you do in your free time?". All of these topics and others focus on living one's faith. Join in the fun!
Remember, the Youth Group will meet the first Sunday of the month for lunch and an activity.
We also have the Facebook page up and running again! It is titled "First Presby Youth," and we are going to keep all events and activities posted there, as well as on this website.
Adult Education Opportunities
Start your engines! Bible 102 resumes its study of the New Testament and all travelers are welcomed to Route 66 (the challenge is to learn all 66 books of the Bible by June). Pastor Ericka is in the "pace car" and welcomes all ages to her study, meeting in the Edith Boyd Lounge at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday. Plans are being made for a Root Beer Float party in June for any kids, youth and adults who succeed in the challenge of naming the 66 books!
The Present word class also continues to meet each Sunday morning at 8:45 AM.
